Freddie came for the day so we had a wonderful excuse to go to the Zoo. I had heard much about Toronga Zoo and indeed it more than lived up to expectation. It is very cleverly designed on quite a steep hill going down to the water and you can see a multitude of animals in as near to their natural habitat as is possible – in the middle of a city. We had a really lovely time and saw many of my faves – koalas, bears, meerkats, tigers, a pygmy hippo, lemurs and the most amazing birds ever. Loved it, though poor Freddie was not feeling his best, so we headed home to hand him back to his lovely mummy.

In the evening we went to the most lovely production of La Boheme at the Sydney Opera House – vey spoiling but sort of ‘had to’ see an opera in this iconic opera house. We had such a lovely evening and collapsed into bed quite tired!
