Another 5.30 walk in Centennial Park with the ‘girls’ and Frank meeting Michelle and Elly on our way and most others in the park. Saturday morning is busy, even at this hour. I have never seen so many runners, quite a lot of them (men!) topless which made it that much more enjoyable. Back for a shower and then a quick visit to the shops over the road to find a little something for Sarah Hue-Williams who we were about to go and have brunch with. Nothing quick about shopping with Amanda in Queen Street, I don’t think there was a single person she did not know and had to have a nice chat!

We then went for brunch with Sarah in her beautiful apartment in Potts Point. A nice residential area where there was a fun Saturday Market and a number of Ibis or ‘bin-chickens’ wandering around – bit of a surprise! Joey and Charles have been here since before Christmas supporting poor Sarah as she deals with yet more health problems. She is just the bravest person and I admire her so much.

In the evening Amanda and I went to see the Ballet International Gala at the Darling Harbour Theatre as two former RBS students were dancing. A Gala is always a bit high risk and this one was ‘varied’ to say the least, however it was lovely to be at the ballet and to see Yasmine Naghdi and Reece Clarke dancing Giselle and Yasmine dancing Corsaire – quite beautifully of course. Despite it being Saturday night of the Australia Day weekend, everything was surprisingly quiet as we left at 9.15pm and completely asleep by the time we got back to Woollhara. They are definitely on a slightly different schedule here.
