We have had a pretty lazy day by the pool when it was sunny and then continuing the chat inside when it was not. No visitation from the monkeys today but some impressive work by some Costa Rican ants who were carrying things at least ten times larger than themselves. I have to confess this guy did eventually decide this leaf was more trouble than it is worth and dumped it. It’s been a busy day!
In the afternoon we ventured back into the town, this time by bicycle. Little did we realise they not only had no gears but also no breaks – apparently you had to peddle backwards to stop. I did not get the hang of this and was quite nearly killed several times over – much to the amusement of the others and most of Tamarindo! Sundowners on the beach watching an indescribably beautiful sunset – not sure I have ever seen better, not even at Winwaloe. We then had a rather good Asian supper and seemed to be home by about 8pm ready for a quick swim, a piece of chocolate and bed. Not sure how we are ever going to be able to clock into real life again…
