EC-Rider Travels

I woke early in order to see the sun rise and try and find some of the lovely birds, I know live here. Unfortunately, however, the clouds had risen first so no spectacular sunrise and they were pretty persistent all day. Analida and Eduardo were up early too so we headed off for a pre-breakfast walk and swim and ……. hit the most torrential tropical storm. We got absolutely soaked and returned to a lot of very concerned staff! It of course, NEVER rains here at this time of year! Like so many other parts of the world, the weather is behaving very oddly.

It cleared a bit in the afternoon and I had the happiest time lying by the pool (oh yes there is a pool as well as an ocean!) reading my book. We seem to have adopted a pretty relaxed timetable with breakfast today (after we had dried out) at 11.30, lunch at 6 and bed at 9! Heaven.
