I have had just the nicest day, but not too much to report as it has just been wall to wall chat! I met up with Niccy and Iain from RBS for lunch on the beach and caught up on all the RBS news. The cloud and even some rain has come in today, so they are not seeing Rio at its best, but we of course persevered on the beach with their first introduction to a caipirinhas, after which …. Rain? What rain! It was so lovely to see them and they are so excited about the workshops and auditions they will be doing in Rio over the next few days.
RBS has had so many beautiful dancers from Brazil, but never the opportunity to come and seek them out before now. All these dancers – Davi Ramos (Dutch National Ballet), Leticia Stock (Royal Ballet), Leticia Dias (Royal Ballet); Mayra Magri (Royal Ballet – Principal); Denilson Almeida (Royal Ballet); Edivaldo de Souza (BRB) have somehow found there way to the School from the favelas of Rio. Who else might be lurking there? However, in order to find the future ‘Davi’, any workshops or auditions needed to be free of charge, and this has only been made possible by my darling, generous friend, Analida.

Needless to say, Analida’s generosity does not end there and this evening she took us to the most lovely Italian restaurant where we stayed far too late drinking caipirinhas and having a lovely time.
