Today was a travelling day, starting early with a 4.15 wake-up! With the exception of a long wait to get into the airport, it all ran extraordinarily smoothly, the airport ran like clockwork and Latam Airlines was excellent flying me from Cusco to Lima and then after a short wait to Rio. There was a slightly alarming moment when we were just taxiing out of Lima airport and my phone beeped to tell me that ‘Mary’ my suitcase (as in Poppins) was not with me!!!
I arrived in Rio-de-Janeiro at 6.30pm to be met by the very charming Paulo and I am pleased to say, Mary my suitcase. I am now in the wonderful comfort of Analida Graham’s beautiful apartment overlooking the bay. More tomorrow…..
